My Approach: Building a Brighter Future Together

I believe in integrating evidence-based therapy models with a Biblical worldview to create a personalized approach to counseling. Whether you're using cognitive behavior therapy to manage stress or solution-focused therapy to achieve goals, we'll work together to find the right path for you.

Together, We Can:

  • Explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors

  • Develop realistic goals for lasting change

  • Create a safe and supportive space for growth

Active Participation is Key!

Counseling is a collaborative effort. To get the most out of your experience, we'll work together in a spirit of cooperation and respect.  I'll encourage your honesty and openness as we embark on this journey of personal growth. Sometimes, "homework" between sessions can be helpful for reinforcing progress.

Your Journey, Your Growth!

It's important to understand that counseling is a personal journey that often leads to positive outcomes. Your active participation is key to unlocking your full potential and creating a more fulfilling life. My goal is to support you every step of the way and help you achieve the best possible outcome.

Education:
With a Master's in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University, a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice from Texas State University, and an undergraduate degree in Sociology, I bring a comprehensive understanding of human behavior, social systems, and the dynamics influencing individual well-being. My academic background, combined with my experience in Law Enforcement and Social Work, enables me to provide compassionate and effective counseling support to clients navigating crisis, trauma, and life transitions. Let's work together to restore hope and build resilience."

  • "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life."

This passage from Proverbs 12:13. always resonates with me. It reminds us that setbacks can be discouraging, but there's still potential for growth.

Life isn't all work and no play! Outside of counseling, I find joy in connecting with loved ones. Whether it's racking up the balls in a friendly game of pool or tackling a DIY project with my wife, creating positive connections is essential for well-being. ✨ What are your favorite ways to unwind and recharge?
